Multicultural Children’s Art Program (MCAP)

Spring Break Camp!

DATE: Monday March 27 – Thursday March 30
TIME: 8:30am-4:00pm (lunch is NOT provided)
LOCATION: George Peabody (251 6th Avenue in San Francisco, CA 94118)
COST: $50 (plus a $10 RDNC registration fee unless you have already paid it for summer camp). Scholarships are available.
THEME: Campers will explore Art as Activism from Latin America, Africa, Asia and the United States. They will attend 2 workshops a day led by professional fine and performing artists. Staff will also lead games and communal art projects.

Multicultural Children’s Art Program (MCAP) provides youth ages 6-11 and their families with high quality, culturally-relevant art workshops in the visual arts. Workshops are held on Saturdays from 10am -12pm and are free of charge (pre-registration is required).  Workshops are taught by Bay Area professional artists. Class size varies between 15-20 students. Materials and snacks are provided.

Register early to ensure your child’s place in a workshop. Space is limited!

Please note: Please notify us in advance if your child is unable to attend workshops in which he/she is enrolled. Limited to six workshops per child. Workshops are for San Francisco residents only, 6-11 years old. These are not drop-in classes. Children must be pre-registered to attend.*

Family Events

RDNC hosts family events each year, giving the community a wonderful opportunity to gather, meet each other and celebrate the diversity that is the Richmond District.
