In a high-cost neighborhood like the Richmond District, it can be a real challenge to make ends meet. People from all over our neighborhood, including hard-working people with low wage jobs, can find themselves unable to afford all the food they need. Seniors, families with children and unemployed and low-wage workers make up the majority of those struggling with hunger.
Thanks to our partnership with the San Francisco Food Bank, we provide over 340 Richmond District residents each week with free produce and groceries through our volunteer-run Food Pantry at RDNC and to over 100 people at our Lafayette Pantry. The Food Pantry takes place every Tuesday from 2:45-4:45PM at Lafayette and Thursday from 2:30-4 pm at RDNC. To receive food please come to the Food Pantry and fill out a registration form. Please realize that our Pantry is currently at capacity and you can sign up to be on our waitlist.
