Community Partners

Whether you’re a young child, an active adult, or single parent, finding high quality educational and social programs can be a challenge. Our community partners help us improve the quality of your life by offering free and low-cost services.

Community Music Center

With branches in the Mission and Richmond Districts, Community Music Center (CMC) is the Bay Area’s oldest community arts organization and San Francisco’s largest provider of low-cost, high quality music education to over 2,300 students and 15,000 concertgoers each year. CMC maintains that age, ethnic background and income level must never be obstacles to participation in the life-enhancing qualities of a music education. Approximately 400 students, youth, and adults are enrolled in private lessons at CMC’s Richmond District Neighborhood Center site. Students take courses in piano, strings, winds, voice, guitar and percussion. With modest full-tuition, sliding scale fees, and financial aid, CMC is able to serve a large and diverse population. For more information, call 415.221.4515.

Cross Cultural Family Center

The mission of the Cross Cultural Family Center (CCFC) is to provide child care services in cross cultural settings. CCFC is committed to high quality, community based, and developmentally appropriate early care and education services. It recognizes the significant role of family and community in promoting positive development of young children. At the Richmond District Neighborhood Center site, CCFC serves more than 50 families with children between the ages of 2-5 years. Overall, CCFC serves over 200 families in six childcare centers across San Francisco. The programs foster safe and healthy community environments for children and their families. Richmond Community Coalition

Richmond Community Coalition brings together faith-based community leaders, non-profit organizations, and residents to serve and empower those most in need in our neighborhood. The Coalition sponsors Quarterly Breakfast Meetings to share information and build strategies to address critical community needs. Meetings provide opportunities to share information and resources pertaining to neighborhood concerns and needs; connect faith-based and community-based leaders together to meet common goals; and promote civic awareness and action through partnerships with city officials, advocacy groups, and service providers. To learn more or to join us at a meeting, call the RDNC at 415.751.6600 or email for more information.

San Francisco Neighborhood Centers Together

San Francisco Neighborhood Centers Together (SFNCT) is an alliance of neighborhood centers whose mission is to improve the quality of life for members of San Francisco’s neighborhoods. Neighborhood centers are multi-service, multi-generational, place-based community organizations that meet the identified and changing needs of our communities. Neighborhood centers provide a safe and supportive environment where people are empowered and develop the value of giving back to our communities. SFNCT members meet regularly to coordinate services, provide professional development, and discuss current issues such as leadership, fundraising, and advocacy.
